At the heart of TERNs programmes is the specialist mentoring that we offer our entrepreneurs, creating connections between refugees who are passionate about developing their business with businesspeople who are passionate about supporting them.

TERN runs a number of programmes that support refugees at a whole range of their entrepreneurial journey, from those who are just starting to explore entrepreneurship as a possible career path, to those who are looking to launch or further scale up their business.
At each stage of this journey, we connect our entrepreneurs with businesspeople who can best support them in developing their business, empowering them to overcome the various challenges and obstacles they may face, and help make building a business in the UK a more manageable and accessible process.
TERN has a number of mentoring roles appropriate for businesspeople, creatives and those engaged in social impact, with various levels of experience, and engaged in a number of different industries.

Launch Mentors are experienced entrepreneurs, consultants and marketing strategists who support one of our entrepreneurs in a one to one mentoring capacity in our flagship Startup Programme, offering their guidance and support as the entrepreneur takes their refined business idea to market.
The role last 3 months and is designed with mentors’ other professional and academic commitments in mind, in the form of 1 evening workshop a week.

Industry Experts are individuals with significant years of experience in their industry, who can offer our entrepreneurs industry specific advice, guidance and access to networks, to enhance and accelerate the development of their business.
The Industry Expert role is more bespoke, orientating around the specific needs of our community, and takes the form of (approx.) monthly meetings with our entrepreneurs.
We are currently looking for Industry Experts in a range of industries, including; food, beverage, service, technology and innovation, fashion, music and social impact.
